1. The first step to set up different quiz times for different class sections in a crosslisted course is to open the Course Homepage and click Grades. |
2. Click Quizzes |
3. Find and click the appropriate Quiz. |
4. Click Availability Dates & Conditions |
5. Make sure no Start Dates or End Dates are listed for the quiz. |
6. Click Manage Special Access. |
7. Click Allow selected users special access to this quiz. |
8. Click Add Users to Special Access |
9. Click and Add the appropriate Start Date for the first class section. You will need to do this for each class section. |
10. Click and Add the appropriate End Date for the class section. |
11. Scroll down and click the View By dropdown menu and select Sections. |
12. Choose the appropriate Class Section from the Sections dropdown menu. |
13. Click Apply |
14. Scroll down to the bottom of the student list and make sure all students for this section are listed. If not, click and adjust the number of students that show per page to include all. |
15. Scroll back up and click the Check Box at the top of the student list to select all students. |
16. Scroll down and click Save |
17. To set up a date for the next class section, click Add Users to Special Access |
18. Click and add the appropriate Start Date for this class section. |
19. Click and add the appropriate End Date for this class section. |
20. Scroll down and click the View By dropdown menu and select Sections. |
21. Select the appropriate Class Section from the Sections dropdown menu. |
22. Click Apply |
23. Again, scroll down to the bottom of the student list and make sure all students for this section are listed. If not, click and adjust the number of students that show per page to include all. |
24. Scroll back up and click the Check Box at the top of the student list to select all students. |
25. Click Save |
26. If you have a third section, repeat these steps again. Otherwise, scroll down and click Save and Close |
27. Make sure the number of users listed under Special Access equals the total number of students you have in the class. |
28. Click Save and Close. That's it. You're done. |
