1. You can easily add VoiceThreads (VT) into your OAKS courses in the Content area for your students to view or comment. This method does not enforce viewing or commenting and will not be added to the grade book. It is assumed you have the VT created. |
2. The first step is to open your OAKS course and click Content. |
3. From the left, click the appropriate module. |
4. Scroll up and click Add Existing Activities. |
5. Scroll to the bottom and click VoiceThread. Note: this is NOT in External Learning Tools. |
6. Click Individual VoiceThread |
7. Scroll and locate the VoiceThread you want to use. Click on the Title of the VoiceThread. |
8. Click Continue. |
9. You will now see the slides in the VoiceThread. You can reorder the slides by clicking on the 4-up arrow and dragging it to it's new location. |
10. You can also add additional media if you need to by clicking on Add media. |
11. When finished, click Continue. |
12. On the next screen, you can also add or delete comments on the VoiceThread slides. When finished, click Continue. |
13. The next screen is all about the settings. The first section allows you to decide how the users can comment. |
14. Scroll down to choose additional settings. |
15. Scroll again for the final permissions. I would recommend UNCHECKING Allow students to make a copy. |
16. When finished, click Continue. |
17. Give your activity a name. Click in Activity Name and type your name. |
18. Click Publish. |
19. You will see your VT located in your Module. To view your VT, click the title. |
20. To return to Content, click on Table of Contents. |
21. That's it. You're done. |
