1. Begin on your new OAKS course homepage and click Management.

2. Click Edit Course
|
3. Click Import / Export / Copy Components
|
4. Click Search for offering
|
5. Type in the name of the course containing the VoiceThreads and click Search.
|
6. Click on the circle next to the appropriate course.
|
7. Click Add Selected
|
8. If you are copying the entire course then you may click Copy All Components and you will be done.
|
9. If you wish to only copy the VoiceThreads, then click Select Components.
|
10. To successfully copy VoiceThreads and VoiceThread Assignments you will need to copy: Content, External Learning Tool Links, and Grades |
11. Click Content, then click Select individual items to copy.

12. Click External Learning Tool Links, then click Select individual items to copy
|
13. Click Grades, then click Select individual items to copy
|
14. Click Continue
|
15. In the Grade Items, click on the grade columns that associate with the VoiceThread Assignments in the old course.

17. Click Continue
|
18. In Content Modules and Topics, select the VoiceThread titles that appear in Content in the old course.
|
19. After selecting all of the content topics, click Continue.
|
20. Lastly, in the External Learning Tools to Copy, select the names of the actual VoiceThreads or the VoiceThread Assignments. These will often be the same names as appears in Content.

21. When finished, click Continue.
|
22. Click Finish
|
23. After the copy has completed, click Content
|
24. Select the appropriate Module from the left.
|
25. Click on your first VoiceThread link.
|
26. You will notice a message, "Your course is almost ready! Please check back in 15 minutes." This is a good sign. Give OAKS time then come back and check it.

27. It's been 15 minutes so let's try it again. Click on the link to a VoiceThread. This example is of inserting a standard VoiceThread. |
28. You'll see it brings the VoiceThread in for viewing. Click the Module in the breadcrumbs to return to Content. |
29. Click on an Assignment VoiceThread

30. It brings over the assignment and, if you scroll down, you'll see that it also brings over the Grade column and automatically links the assignment to the grade.

31. The only thing left to do for an Assignment is to change the dates. To Edit the Assignment, click on the three dots to the far right. |
32. Click Edit assignment
|
33. Change the Dates/Times
|
34. When finished editing, click Publish.
|
35. That's it. You're done.
