Sundeep Patel is the Founder & CEO of iorad. He’s a serial creative who has a serious passion for exploration.
Like many others, Sundeep spent his early career wandering with no particular direction in mind. After graduating from the Boston University with a degree in Biology, he became an Associate Scientist. When that became mundane, he took his Series 7 and transitioned into life as a licensed Stock Broker. After spending all of ONE day in the boiler room, he left, decided to get his Flash certificate, and joined his first eLearning startup where his true passions were discovered.
Since then, Sundeep has spent more than 18 years in the eLearning industry where he's focused on the development and application of innovative training processes and solutions for organizations of all shapes and sizes.
Today, you can find Sundeep at the helm of iorad, where he's spent the last 13 years experimenting and improving upon the tutorial builder that enables people to Capture, Share, and Learn like never before.
Andy Johnson is the Chief Operating Officer at iorad. He’s responsible for developing the organization’s operational foundation, establishing strong company culture, increasing brand recognition, and driving growth across all levels of the business.
He is a demonstrated leader who’s spent the majority of his career working in the technology industry where he’s gained a breadth of experience at organizations spanning from lean startups, to high-growth enterprises and full-scale global corporations.
Andy is an out-of-the-box thinker who loves to push the needle forward in pursuit of relentless innovation. He has a passion for business and a strong belief in the idea that anyone can accomplish anything with the right amount of effort and creativity.
Andy holds a degree in Marketing & International Business from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and sits on the Regional Leadership Council for the Special Olympics - Southern California.
Dipti Patel is the Chief Happiness Officer at iorad.
She was born into a first-generation Indian immigrant family and spent her early years growing up in Staten Island. Dipti graduated with a degree in speech therapy from Boston University, where she also met her husband Sundeep.
In 2007, Dipti helped support the founding of iorad. The mission was to develop an eLearning solution that was easy to use and adaptable to all industries. Today, iorad is known for its tutorial building tool, which enables users to create and share stunningly efficient tutorials in a matter of minutes.
As iorad's Chief Happiness Officer, Dipti is responsible for the overall health and wellness of the organization and its day-to-day operations. This includes employees, their work environment, the relationships they forge, and the impacts they leave behind.
Manuel Dell’Elce is an avid Software Developer and the Director of Product Development at iorad.
He was born and raised in Italy, where his curiosity for technology started at a very young age. While he was still just a child, Manuel began to teach himself about software and programming. He developed a strong passion for computers and would later go on to attend the University of L” Aquila where he received his Master's Degree in Computer Science.
Throughout his life, Manuel has enjoyed spending time tinkering on different ideas and working on various Open Source projects. For the last 6 years, he has focused on iorad, where he works on all aspects of product development: from frontend to backend, security, and performance. He is well known for his keen ability to understand complex issues and deliver efficient solutions that create long-term product value.
Lauren Taylor is the VP of Product & Customer Experience at iorad. A large part of Lauren’s day to day responsibilities include: product management, customer onboarding and implementation, and directing the internal operations.
Lauren’s relationship with iorad started as a customer. She was so passionate about the product that it was a perfect fit for her to join the iorad team. Lauren’s experiences as a teacher, a software developer, a HRIS administrator and a customer support specialist have provided a great foundation for her to take on the many hats she wears.
She has 5 years of teaching experience, 6 years software customer support experience, a Ruby on Rails Jr. Developer Certification, and 2 years in a HR/Talent Management Administrator role.
Lauren's interests in education and technology began to intersect at Mount Vernon Nazarene University where she got her degree in Middle Childhood Education. While working as an educator, she began to integrate technologies like Learning Management Systems into her classrooms. It’s there where she realized the true impact that technology can have on education when applied properly.
Today, Lauren’s passion for problem solving, teaching and technology enables her to do exactly what she loves to do the most, help people. On the weekends, Lauren can be found with her husband at her favorite burger joint, ice cream stand, or playing with their pup Archie.
Sean Adams is the VP of Partnerships at iorad and he’s a master when it comes to the art of transactions.
Sean is responsible for driving new revenue and developing partnerships across the company as a whole. He honed his business development expertise as a successful small business owner early in his career. He fell in love with the power of technology and how transformational it could be when properly leveraged inside an organization.
This led Sean to transition into technology sales and he’s been there ever since. Sean’s passionate about helping organizations reach their full potential through the adoption of technology and process.
He has a knack for thinking creatively when it comes to driving new business and constantly works to stay on the cutting edge of innovation.
Mariamne Ingalls is the Manager of Data Security & Compliance at iorad where she aids and oversees the integration of security and privacy practices throughout the organization. She also enables iorad to keep up with best practices and manage compliance effectively with standards and regulations.
Mariamne received her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from State University of New York Empire State College. Throughout her career, she has earned over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. 16 of those years were spent focusing on Quality Assurance & Compliance, and 8 on Data Security, Privacy, and IT Audits. Mariamne also has specific expertise in SOC 2 audits and GDPR compliance.
Outside of her role at iorad, Mariamne is a person of many interests, some of which include art, the natural world, Wayfinding, and the transition of US electrical grids to accommodate renewable energy resources.
Allison Santos is the lead Account Executive at iorad and our resident expert when it comes to direct sales and the support of our vast partner network.
She has a passion for building strong connections with people and helping them understand how various software and services can improve their business and life. In her role, she places a heavy focus on interaction and personalized demonstration to help individuals build alignment between their needs and our solutions.
Before joining iorad, Allison worked in the California State Park system, where she helped manage numerous locations in the Santa Cruz area. Though her close proximity to Silicon Valley eventually drew her into the tech space, she still has a strong love for the outdoors and prefers to spend her free time by the ocean or hiking through the wilderness.
Allison holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Tech Sales Bootcamp Certification from the SV Academy.
Amanda Lung is a multifaceted member of our team who oversees all things account-related at iorad. She's not only responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable but also plays a significant role in our Account Management department.
Before joining iorad, Amanda ventured into the education sector, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. She later assumed the role of Assistant Director at a day school, where she worked closely with students and parents. Amanda's profound understanding of the educational landscape and the importance of learning and development play a pivotal role in shaping how we educate our customers today.
In addition to her time in the education space, Amanda continued to hone her skills in the financial sector through various bookkeeping roles and a Quickbooks Certificate earned from Stark State College.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys immersing herself in nature, often going for runs or walks with her husband and their canine companions.
How It All
Started
Once upon a time, well actually over a decade ago to be precise, there lived a small group of dedicated individuals who spent their days and nights building fanciful eLearning materials for companies all around the world. They followed what most would consider a traditional development cycle: Sit with the client, learn their process or system, then deliver custom training solutions. They were adored for their work and by all means, life was good!
As the business grew, things started to change. They became bombarded with high-priced requests to build seemingly simple application instructions, something not many people would complain about. Though they were being handsomely rewarded for this work, deep down it just didn't feel right. For something that should be so simple, it just wasn't. They still had to get access to internal systems, document information, take screenshots, and laboriously merge it all together like a giant jig-saw puzzle. There had to be a better way.
This is where the story of iorad began... but they had no idea how difficult the road ahead of them would be. For the next 10 years, they spent long and arduous hours toiling away, experimenting with different technologies, and studying use cases. One day, lightning struck. They finally did it. They created a bigger, bolder, and totally kickass application that enabled anyone to build stunning step-by-step tutorials in mere minutes.
But the work is never done. Nowadays, they spend their time continuously improving upon the technology they've built to enable even more people to Capture, Share, and Learn together.
TLDR
We used to spend years manually creating eLearning material for big companies. Demand grew and we needed a way to keep up, so we developed an application that automates the entire process.
